Habitat and Biology: A widespread species in North America, they are associated with rotting plant material, such as grass clippings,

leaf litter, compost, moldy flooring, or moldy bark chips. They are collected with pitfall traps, Berlese extractions of moldy plant matter, and Lindgren funnels baited with ethanol.
