Opisthonotal and genital lobes absent. Bases of setae 1a separated. Pseudanal setae absent. Genital series with 2 pairs of setae. Apodemes I with small outgrowth but not strict thorn-like protuberances. Legs with full complement of solenidia. Physogastric form with distinctly enlarged idiosoma , worm-shaped in outline. MALE: Unknown. Species included. Monotypic genus, Phipicobia pygiptilae Glowska and Schmidt, 2014 only. Host range. Passeriformes : Thamnophilidae . Distribution. Neotropical region ( Guyana ).
