Remarks.
A robust paratanaid genus characterised by the antenna article-3 bearing a stiff seta rather than an acute spine, pleonites only with simple lateral setae, and very short uropods. The short inferodistal spines on the carpus of pereopods 2–3 and the lack of clinging apparatus on the carpus of pereopods 4–6 are also distinctive characters, although the last is shared by another new paratanaid genus [see below].
