Diagnosis.
Adult (
Fig. 12
) wingspan 16.5–20.0 mm.
Calamotropha formosella
is diagnosed by the white forewing with a dark brown band along the costal margin, and a relatively wide dark brown terminal margin; in the male genitalia by the short and broad valva with the apex deeply concave in C shape, the straight phallus about twice as long as the valva, and the vesica with one spine-like cornutus (
