A, dorsal view of female; B, coxae and female genitalia; C, legs I and II; D, lateral aspect of female; E, tarsal empodium; F, male genitalia. Types . Holotype , female, China : Gansu Province, Dangchang County, Guane Gou, 33°57’39N, 104°19’45E. September 12, 2005 , from Lonicera sp. ( Caprifoliaceae ), coll. Zi-Wei Song and Xiao-Feng Xue. Paratypes , 7 females and 3 males , with the same data as holotype . Relation to host. Vagrant on the leaf undersurface, causing no apparent damage. Etymology. The specific designation guanegounis is from the locality where the host plant and the new species were collected. Remarks. This species is similar to Rhyncaphytoptus lushanensis Kuang & Zhao, 1987 , but can be differentiated by the following: prodorsal shield with long and broad frontal lobe (prodorsal shield without frontal lobe in R . lushanensis ), accessory setae ( h1 ) present (accessory setae ( h1 ) absent in R . lushanensis ), ventral annuli with triangular microtubercles in the center (ventral annuli with round microtubercles in R . lushanensis ).
