REMARKS: Rondani (1866a: 147) described both sexes of Anthomyia procellaris from an unspecified number of specimens. Michelsen (1980a: 286) designated a lectotype ( ) and paralectotypes ( 5 ♂♂ , 2 ♀♀ ) but did not mention an additional male in the MZUF (this additional specimen is a paralectotype ).
