TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus agri parmensis [ Parmese hills ( Italy )]” . TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂ , syntype ( MZUF : Box 26): Anthomyia Mgn / decorata Rnd. , , Parma . / 1371. CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Calythea dedecorata ( Dely-Draskovits 1993: 32 , Gorodkov et al. 1995: 5 ). REMARKS: Rondani (1866a: 148) described Anthomyia dedecorata from at least two males : “ Bis tantum marem inveni [I collected the male only twice]”. We found just one male in the MZUF, as did Hennig (1967c: 198) , the latter who incorrectly considered it as the holotype but did not explicitly select a particular specimen from the type series to serve as the name-bearing type and therefore did not publish a lectotype designation (I.C.Z.N. 1999: Article 74.5).
