PARALECTOTYPES EXAMINED: 2 ♀♀ (one missing head and covered with mold) ( MZUF : Box 39): Ochthera Latr. / schembrii Rndn. , Melita / 2107 / Paralectotypus Ochthera schembrii Rondani , ♀ , det. P.J. Clausen, 1979 . PARALECTOTYPE NOT EXAMINED: 1 ♀ (MZUB: Box 338): 28 04 / Ochthera schembrii Rond. , ex Ins . Malta / schembrii Rndn. , Malta . CURRENT STATUS: valid species ( Cogan 1984: 162 , Mathis & Zatwarnicki 1995: 148 , Bächli et al. 1995: 5 ). REMARKS: Rondani (1847b : xxx) described Ochthera schembrii from four specimens : “ Hujus speciei … exemplaria quatuor in collectione mea servantur [Four specimens of this species are in my collection]” received from A. Schembri. Clausen (1979: 141) designated a lectotype ( ♀ ) and paralectotypes ( 2 ♀♀ ) but did not mention an additional ♀ specimen in the MZUB (this additional specimen is a paralectotype ).
