Dryodromya testacea
Rondani, 1856
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1856: 150.
TYPE
LOCALITY: Rondani gave no
type
locality in his original description but presumably it is
Italy
because the work deals with
Italian
species
.
TYPE
MATERIAL: not found in this study.
CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as
Dryodromia testacea
(
Chvála & Wagner 1989: 318
,
Pesarini
et al.
1995: 12
,
Yang
et al.
2007: 345
).
REMARKS:
Rondani’s (1856: 150)
key for the genus
Dryodromya
Rondani, 1856
lists
Dryodromya testacea
as its
type
species, but he did not provide a detailed description,
type
locality,
number
or sex of the specimens. Rondani described this nominal species under the generic name
Dryodromya
, which is an “incorrect original spelling” of
Dryodromia
(
O’Hara
et al.
2011: 76
)
. We could not locate any
type
specimens of this nominal species during our study.
