TYPE LOCALITY: Rondani gave no type locality in his original description but presumably it is Parma (Italy) because he referred to observations made by himself. TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀ , holotype (missing head, part of thorax and all legs, one wing glued on a cardboard stage, dissected) ( MZUF : Box 35): Leucopis Mgn / talaria n. / 1816 / Holotypus Leucopis ( Leucopis ) talaria Rond. , det. G. Morge, Ex. 13 / Holotypus Leucopis ( Leucopis ) talaria Rondani, 1874 [ sic !], A. Raspi det. CURRENT STATUS: valid species ( Tanasijtshuk 1984: 230 , Nartshuk et al. 1995: 7 , Raspi & Benelli 2016: 207 ). REMARKS: Rondani (1875a: 264) described Leucopis talaria , without specifying its sex, from a single specimen: “ in unico exemplare observatae [observed in a single specimen]”.
