Rognes, 1990 / Pollenia atramentaria Mg., K. Rognes det., 1990. CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Pollenia atramentaria ( Meigen, 1826 ) ( Schumann 1986: 45 , Pape et al. 1995: 10 ). REMARKS: Rondani (1862d: 200) described Pollenia levis , without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens and not giving a range of lengths, from material he had collected and also received from E. Turati. Rognes (1991a: 365) designated a lectotype ( ♂ ) and paralectotypes ( 2 ♂♂ , 1 ♀ ).
