Rondani (1875c: 428)

Musca scapularis
from just the male sex, without specifying the exact

of specimens and not giving a range of lengths, from material collected by G.
Doria
and O. Beccari.
Guiglia (1957: 195)

Raineri & Rey (1996: 43)
reported the
holotype
(

) in the MSNG.
