TYPE LOCALITY: “ in agri parmensisin agro tridentino … in Pedemontio [Parmese territory … Trento’s territory … Piedmont ( Italy )]”. TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂ , lectotype (abdomen with terminalia prepared in balsam between cover slips) ( MZUF : Box 29): Sapromyza Fall. / plumicheta Rndn. / 1556 / Lectotypus Minettia plumicheta (Rondani, 1868) , des. by L. Papp, 1981 . PARALECTOTYPES EXAMINED: 8 ♂♂ (one with terminalia and abdomen in balsam in a microvial on a separate pin next to the specimen and one leg in a plastic vial pinned below specimen), 6 ♀♀ (one with right wing in a plastic vial pinned below specimen) ( MZUF : Box 29): Sapromyza Fall. plumicheta Rndn. / 1556 / Paralectotypus Minettia plumicheta (Rondani, 1868) . PARALECTOTYPES NOT EXAMINED: 1 ♂ (MRSN): 3 64 / 805 / Sapromyza Fall. plumicheta Rond., Sestri P. [= Sestri Ponente ( Liguria )], ; 1 ♀ (MRSN): [illegible word] / 804 / Sapromyza Fall. plumicheta Rond., Sestri P. [= Sestri Ponente ( Liguria )], ; 1 ♀ (MRSN): [illegible word] / Sapromyza Fall. plumicheta Rond., Sestri P. [= Sestri Ponente ( Liguria )], ; 1 ♀ (MRSN): 3 64 / Sapromyza Fall. , plumicheta Rond., Sestri P. [= Sestri Ponente ( Liguria )], . CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Minettia plumicheta ( Papp 1984a: 201 , Nartshuk et al. 1995: 5 ). REMARKS: Rondani (1868c: 243) described Sapromyza plumicheta , without specifying the number , the sex or the length of the specimens, from material that he had collected and that he had also received from S. Bertolini and L. Bellardi. Papp (1981: 180) designated a lectotype ( ) and paralectotypes ( 8 ♂♂ , 6 ♀♀ ) but did not mention an additional four specimens in the MRSN (all are paralectotypes ). We consider the four MRSN specimens as paralectotypes even if they are labeled “Sestri Ponente” ( Liguria ) because this latter is a locality bordering with Piedmont .
