Rondani (1857: 202)
described
Chrysotoxum collinum
from just the female sex, without specifying either the
number
or the length of the specimens: “
Foemina tantum
inventa
[I found only the female]”. We found
one syntype
in this study. The MZUF male numbered “357” is not included in the type series because of its sex.
