TYPE LOCALITY: “ in agro parmense [ Parmese territory ( Italy )]” . TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀ , holotype (glued to the pin) ( MZUF : Box 36): Gonioneura Rnd. / bisangula R., punctum [word not interpreted] / 1921 / L. Munari des. Holotypus Gonioneura bisangula Rnd. / Halidayina spinipennis (Hal.) , L. Munari det. CURRENT STATUS: nomen dubium in Sphaeroceridae ( Papp 1984d: 106 ) ; junior synonym of Gonioneura spinipennis (Haliday, 1836) ( Munari 1991: 29 , Roháček et al. 2001a: 146 ). REMARKS: Rondani (1880: 18) described Gonioneura bisangula from a single specimen without specifying its sex: “ Nunc cognovi unici mei exemplaris, mucore deformati, notas distinctivas inobservabiles esse [now I have realized that the distinctive characters of my single specimen deformed by mold are not observable]”. Munari’s (1991: 29) study of the specimen in the MZUF led him to suppose that Rondani replaced the specimen upon which he described the species, presumably because the original was in very poor condition, with a subsequent specimen.
