CURRENT STATUS: doubtful species of Macronychia Rondani, 1859 ( Verves 1986: 60 ) ; valid species ( Pape 1988: 5 , 1996: 94 , Pape et al . 1995: 11 , Povolný & Verves 1997: 56 , Verves & Khrokalo 2006: 232 ). REMARKS: Rondani (1865c: 218) described Macronychia alpestris from just the male sex without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens. Pape (1988: 5) considered the specimen in the MZUF as the holotype .
