Rondani (1868a: 48)
described
Elomyia parva
from a single specimen: “
Unicum specimen inveni
[I found a single specimen]”. This nominal species was described under the generic name “
Elomyia
”, which is considered as an “incorrect subsequent spelling of
Elomya
Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830
or subsequent usage of
Elomyia
Macquart, 1834
” (
O’Hara
et al.
2011: 80
).
