TYPE LOCALITY: “ in colle parmensi [ Parmese hill ( Italy )]” . TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀ , holotype (missing right mid-leg) ( MZUF : Box 17): Elomyia Desv. / parva Rnd. / 934. CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Elomya lateralis ( Meigen, 1824 ) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 408 ) . REMARKS: Rondani (1868a: 48) described Elomyia parva from a single specimen: “ Unicum specimen inveni [I found a single specimen]”. This nominal species was described under the generic name “ Elomyia ”, which is considered as an “incorrect subsequent spelling of Elomya Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 or subsequent usage of Elomyia Macquart, 1834 ” ( O’Hara et al. 2011: 80 ).
