REMARKS:
Rondani (1859b: 148)
described
Exorista aristella
from a single female, giving a range of lengths: “
Foeminam unicam inveni
[I found a single female]”. There are
two females
without any label indicating their type status in the
MZUF
: we are unable to single out the one upon which Rondani based his description. We leave the recognition of the
holotype
to a future specialist
.
