Rondani (1865c: 222)
described
Ceracia mucronifera
from just the male sex without specifying the exact
number
of specimens: “
Mas bis lectus
[the male collected twice]”. We found
six syntypes
in this study.A MZUF female numbered “881” is not included in the type series because of its sex.
Herting (1969: 196)
reported
seven males
in the MZUF. We found only
six specimens
in the MZUF.
