(= Bononiae) [Bologna] / 167 / Sphaerophoria scripta L., , var. nov. syn., det. M. Daccordi, 1994. CURRENT STATUS: junior primary homonym of S . multipunctata Zetterstedt, 1859 ( Vockeroth 1971: 1632 ) ; doubtful species of Sphaerophoria Le Peletier & Audinet-Serville, 1828 ( Peck 1988: 46 ) ; junior synonym of Sphaerophoria scripta (Linnaeus, 1758) ( Belcari et al. 1995a: 8 ) . REMARKS: Rondani (1865a: 134) described Sphaerophoria multipunctata from just the female sex, without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens, from material received from C. Tacchetti. Vockeroth (1971: 1632) considered the single female in the MZUF as the holotype .
