CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Zeuxia tessellata (Egger, 1860) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 370 ) . REMARKS: Rondani (1862c: 143) described both sexes of Zeuxia parmensis from an unspecified number of specimens that he had collected and that he had also received from G. Mussino and J.R. Schiner. We found 13 syntypes in this study. An additional four males and three females in the MZUF , numbered “1854”, are not included in the type series because their labels are yellowish rather than the greenish color of Rondani’s original handwritten ones and are in a lower row in the Box, for which reason we treat them to be subsequent additions .
