REMARKS:
Rondani (1865c: 199)
described both sexes of
Nemorea sponsa
from
two specimens
of each sex: “
specimena duo
….
captae a Clar. Staeger
[
two specimens
collected by Mr. Staeger]”. We found both
syntypes
. This nominal species was described under the generic name “
Nemorea
”, which is an “incorrect subsequent spelling of
Nemoraea
Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830
or subsequent usage of
Nemorea
Macquart, 1834
” (

et al.
2011: 126
).
