Characteristics.
Shrub with numerous ascendant branches,
20–50 cm
tall. Leaves: glabrous or slightly pubescent, with linear shape, 3–5 veins and sheathed
base;
8–20 cm
long and
1–3 mm
wide. Inflorescences: cylindrical dense spikes,
1–5 cm
long; peduncles longer than the leaves; flowers with free sepals. Fruit: a capsule with 2 seeds.
Comments
: This is a rare species in the study area. It
grows in full sunlight conditions in cracks on the summit.
