Diagnosis. Antennal flagellum filiform, slender, brownish black or black ( Fig. 51 ). Malar space short, about half as long as basal mandibular width ( Fig. 52 ). Head and mesosoma evenly granulate, dull, impunctate ( Fig. 52 ). Mesopleuron with very short and thin foveate groove ( Fig. 52 ). Propodeum usually with narrow basal area which is often indistinct because of longitudinal wrinkles ( Fig. 53 ). Metacarpus almost reaching tip of the fore wing ( Fig. 50 ). First metasomal tergite very slender, laterally smooth ( Fig. 52 ). Second tergite about as long as anteriorly broad. Metasoma dark brown ( Fig. 50 ). Ovipositor short, robust, with weak dorsal subapical depression and more or less distinct rounded teeth before and behind this depression, with fine teeth ventrally ( Fig. 54 ). FIGURES 50–54. Distribution. Russian Far East; in Japan known from Hokkaido , Honshu and Shikoku islands. Biology. One female from Sapporo was collected around nest of Lasius ( Dendrolasius ) nipponensis Forel ( Hymenoptera : Formicidae ).
