The specific name refers to the type locality; noun in apposition. Diagnosis. Males of M. guri spec. nov. resemble those of M. jaraua spec. nov. ( Figs 169–172 ) by the palp with tegulum strongly indented prolaterally and embolus C-shaped with long membranous region ( Figs 163, 165 ). They are distinguished from the latter species by the RTA with rounded base abruptly narrowed medially towards tip ( Fig. 164 ) (RTA gradually tapering in M. jaraua spec. nov. ). Females are unknown. FIGURES 162–165. Meri guri spec. nov. , male (AMNH), left palp (162 prolateral, 163 ventral, 164 retrolateral, 165 detail of embolus). C—conductor; E—embolus; mr—membranous region; PTA—prolateral tibial projection; RpP—retro proximal projection; RTA—retrolateral tibial projection; ST—subtegulum. Scale lines: 1 mm. Description. Male ( holotype ): Total length 13.3. Prosoma 5.8 long, 5.0 wide. Opisthosoma 7.0 long, 4.4 wide. Eyes: diameters: 0.42, 0.32, 0.26, 0.30; interdistances: 0.30, 0.16, 0.50, 0.45, 0.30, 0.15. Legs: I: 30.1 (8.1, 3.0, 8.4, 8.5, 2.1); II: 31.6 (8.7, 3.0, 8.7, 9.0, 2.2); III: 21.9 (6.6, 2.2, 5.7, 5.7, 1.7); IV: 25.1 (7.5, 2.1, 6.5, 6.8, 1.9). Spination follows the generic pattern except tibia II: d1-0-1; femur IV: r1-1-1; metatarsus IV: p1-1-1. Palp: PTA triangular, distally rounded, wider than long; RTA roughly 1.5 times longer than its widest part (retrolateral view); cymbium with small retroproximal projection; subtegulum barely visible in ventral view between 8:30–9 o’clock; tegulum slightly protruding over conductor base; conductor roughly the same width throughout ( Figs 162–168 ). Female. Unknown. Distribution. Only known from the type locality ( Fig. 316 ).
