At the time it was assumed to be a lightly marked individual of Platylesches moritili f. delta and it was only by chance that this individual was photographed (Figure 20.3). The caterpillar must have been a tube maker ( Cock & Congdon 2013, Figure 70 ) and the pupa must have been plain white ( Cock & Congdon 2013, Figure 76.4 ) or they would have been noticed as different and documented.
