There is an isolated record from Shiraz, Fars Prov. , lying about 730 km south from the continuous range but considered legitimate by Anderson (1999) . HABITAT. Areas vegetated with bushes and shrubs interspersed with grassy patches, also pasture land, vegetated road ditches, stream banks in the Hyrcanian forest, dune and forest margins, coastal sand zone with scattered Carex tussocks. REMARKS. The position of L. strigata within the phylogeny of the genus was not resolved ( Godinho et al. 2005 ). The latest phylogenetic analysis recovered L. strigata as a sister species to the Iberian L. schreiberi Bedriaga ( Pyron et al. 2013 ) . REFERENCES.
