Etymology. The species name alludes to the similarity of the new species to P. attenuata . Remarks . Both P. neoattenuata and P. attenuata resemble each other in coloration and structure of the male genitalia. However, they differ in the detail of the aedeagal shaft, i.e., in P.neoattenuata it is more slender without subapical lateral flanges except in the type on one side there is a transverse line as figured. As both species occur in Tamil Nadu , Nilgiri Hills some females listed under P . attenuata could belong to this species.
