A review of the spider genus Singaporemma (Araneae: Tetrablemmidae), with the description of a new species Author Yan, Fanhu Author Lin, Yucheng text Zootaxa 2018 2018-03-09 4392 2 329 346 journal article 30560 10.11646/zootaxa.4392.2.6 029d4e90-6c66-413a-ab4a-a8f431ad0671 1175-5326 1195449 E0D597C5-194B-4EF0-AD6D-3A178F8DD2F7 Singaporemma adjacens Lehtinen, 1981 Figures 6H–h , 7A (cited from Lehtinen, 1980: fig. 47, slightly modified) Singaporemma adjacens Lehtinen, 1981 : 31 , figs 47, 51, 64. S. adjacens Lin et al. , 2017 : 51 , fig. 23F. Examined material. Holotype ( ZMUT ), VIETNAM : Quang Ninh , Ha Long , in litter of dense jungle close to seashore, altitude 10 m , 12 October 1978 , P.T. Lehtinen leg, examined and photographed by Seppo K. Diagnosis. Male of this species is distinguished from S. wulongensis and S. bifurcata by the lack of a furcate tip in embolus, but present in the latter two ( Fig. 6H, 6h vs. Fig. 6E–F, 6e–f ), and from the rest of congeners by the wider, belt-shaped embolus, but narrower, tubular in the rest ( Fig. 6H, 6h vs. Fig. 6A–D, 6G, 6a–d, 6g ). Female differs from females of other Singaporemma specie by the shorter, smaller central process ( Fig. 7A vs. Figs 2E , 5D , 7B ), and the lack of inner vulval plate and anterior ventrolateral plate ( Fig. 7A vs. Figs 7C , 8A–B , 9A–B ). Description. See Lehtinen, 1981 : 31. Remark. We have no chance to examine the type material of S. adjacens from Vietnam for this study. Dr. Seppo Koponen (University of Turku, Finland ) helped us to reexamine the holotype of this species and photographed its left palp. This species shows an egg-shaped bulb, a unique character within the genus Singaporemma . Unfortunately, we also had no chance to check the female specimens, so we can only cite Lehtinen’s illustration of this species ( Fig. 7A as modified from Lehtinen, 1981 : 109, fig. 47). Distribution. Vietnam ( Fig. 10 ).
