Remarks Haplocheira barbimana robusta K.H. Barnard, 1932 , widely distributed in southern South America, is recorded for the first time off Bahía San Sebastián, Chubut and Río Negro provinces. Its association with holdfasts of M. pyrifera in the Beagle Channel is mentioned for the first time; K.H. Barnard (1932) reported this species inhabiting kelp roots in the Malvinas / Falkland Islands .
