The shape of the ventral concavity of the hind femur, especially the straight basal margin, is distinctive for this species. Description. Body length: 2.10–2.19 mm . Head: Frons dark brown, second row of setae slightly concave. Flagellomere 1 rounded-oval, brown, lighter mediobasally. Palpus of normal size, yellow. Thorax: Scutum brown. Scutellum dark brown, with 2 pairs of setae; anterior seta two-thirds length of posterior seta. Pleuron dark brown. Mean costal length 0.48 wing length, range 0.46–0.49. Halter yellow. Legs yellowish-brown. Forecoxa in lateral view yellow. Foretibia with 4 dorsal setae. Foretarsomeres slender, elongate. Midcoxa dark brown. Hind coxa yellowish-brown. Hind coxal lobe light brown, short, truncate. Posterior face of hind femur with transverse, short basal group of peglike setae; setae vary in size, thinner basally, thicker distally; more distally with relatively shallow concavity with straight basal margin ( Figs 163–164 ). Abdomen: Abdominal tergite 1 brown, tergites 2–6 dark brown. Venter of abdomen gray, with few setae, larger on posterior margin of segment 5. Male terminalia dark brown, except cercus yellow. Distribution. Known from a single site in Amazonian Brazil . Derivation of specific epithet. From Latin for “two forms”, referring to the varied shape of the peglike setae.
