Species recognition. This species is recognized by the extremely sparse setation of the hind femur, with a short basal line, a gap, and then a short ascending double row of peglike setae.
Description. Body length:
1.78–2.25 mm
. Head: Frons dark brown, second row of setae concave. Flagellomere 1 round, yellow. Palpus of normal size, yellow. Thorax: Scutum brown. Scutellum brown, with 2 pairs of setae; anterior seta one-third length of posterior seta. Pleuron whitish-yellow, but contrastingly brown dorsally. Mean costal length 0.55 wing length, range 0.55–0.56. Halter yellow. Legs yellowish-brown. Forecoxa in lateral view whitish-yellow. Foretibia with 4 dorsal setae. Foretarsomeres slender, elongate. Midcoxa brown. Hind coxa whitish-yellow. Hind coxal lobe light brown, large, posteriorly rounded. Posterior face of hind femur with basal line, gap, and short ascending double row of peglike setae (

). Abdomen: Abdominal tergite 1 brown, tergites 2–6 dark brown with faint lighter posterior seam. Venter of abdomen whitish-yellow, with few setae, larger on posterior margin of segment 5. Male terminalia with epandrium yellowish-brown, hypandrium brown, and cercus yellow.
