This species and D. sulcatula are the only New World species with thin, more dorsal setae on the hind femur. It differs from D . sulcatula by the yellow body color, and the peglike setae, which are few in number and grouped together ( Figs 25–26 ). Distribution. Nearly worldwide, presumably spread by human activity. Material examined.
