Diagnosis.
Adult (

) with wingspan 37.0 mm. The orbicular and reniform stigmata, the postmedial line and the subterminal band are well-developed in
P. taiwanensis sasakii
as in
P. ussurialis
, but
P. taiwanensis sasakii
can be recognized by the male having a subtrapezoidal reniform stigma, which is somewhat rectangular in the latter species; the male genitalia are characterised by having a short and curved sella, a juxta that is concave shallowly on the posterior margin, and a phallus with L-shaped cornutus (
Fig. 19
); in
P. ussurialis
, the sella is straight, the juxta is concave deeply in a broad V shape on the posterior margin, and the phallus bears a C-shaped cornutus.
