Note:
—
Epilobium cylindricum
is close to
E. royleanum
Haussknecht (1879: 55)
, and can be distinguished by its taller stem and distinctive capitate stigma.
E. cylindricum
,
E. tibetanum
Haussknecht (1879: 53)
,
E. sinense
Léveillé (1907: 590)
, and
E. platystigmatosum
Robinson (1908: 210)
form a complex group in the Pan-Himalaya region (
Chen
et al
. 1992
).
Although
Chen
et al
. (1992)
noted that the “
holotype
” of
Epilobium beauverdianum
(
Soulie 449
) is deposited in G, we are not sure the status of this specimen. We only saw a photo of
Soulie
449
in BM (BM000944621) which is from the specimen in G with a “Type” label written by P. H. Raven in 1960. According to Art. 9.1, we do not determine the type status of
E. beauverdianum
in this paper.
