Remarks:
Although,
Allokotarsa rotundicollis
was first listed by
Péringuey (1904: 37)
I decided that it is more appropriate to designate the second species,
Allokotarsa clypeata
, as the
type
since it has more representative characters for the genus. For example,
A. clypeata
does not have the obsolete posterior angles of pronotum which is an autapomorphy of
A. rotundicollis
.
