Takeuchi (1955)
described this species from Etorofu Island, southern Kuriles, and it was later recorded from Moskva, Jakutsk and southern Primorye,
Finland
and Kunashiri Island, southern Kuriles (see references above). The specimen listed above represents the first distribution record from the main island of Hokkaido. This is a mainly black species, with characteristic yellow marks on the lower inner orbit, mandible, and each side of the abdominal terga 3 and 4 (
