Ataş leg. General Distribution: Species with a Palearctic distribution (Löbl and Smetana 2007), introduced into the USA but not established ( Simon 2014 ). Distribution in Turkey : Ardahan , Balikesir , Bartin , Erzincan , Erzurum , Iğdir , Kars , Kayseri , Konya , Muğla , Diyarbakir Eğil (Central District) ( Ozgen 2018 ). The data presented here constitute the first record of this species in Elaziğ (Hoşköy). Larval Host Plants: Despite Quercus spp. ( Fagaceae ) being considered the main host genus for this species, B. capucinus can develop on multiple other plants, such as Ericaceae , Fabaceae , Fagaceae , Moraceae , Myrtaceae , Pinaceae , Rhamnaceae , and Vitaceae ( e.g. , Fisher 1950 ; Halperin and Damoiseau 1980; Nardi and Mifsud 2015). Notes. The species emerged from branches of the Ağin white variety ( Ağin beyazi), specifically from those that resulted from pruning of the previous year.
