Zapparoli (1991) established that Lithobius ( Pleurolithobius ) argaeensis is a junior synonym of Lithobius parvicornis . Zapparoli (2006) placed parvicornis in Lithobius ( Ezembius ) . Chamberlin and Wang (1952) had examined two female specimens that Takakuwa taken in Taiwan of China and confirmed they were Monotarsobius argαeensis . However, the presence of this species in Taiwan is unreliable, unless accidentally introduced by man.
