Remarks:
Bathanthidium bicolor
is very similar to
B. barkamense
.
They share the distinctive red tegulae and red markings on the legs, and both have a thin paraocular marking, the marking of
B. barkamense
extending along the inner margin nearly to the top of the eye, but the marking of
B. bicolor
only extending to the middle of the eye.
