Interantennal lobes broad, truncate, lower corner more angular than upper corner. Accessory eye composed of 6 ommatidia in crescent. Mouthparts . Maxilla 1 with 5 short, blunt, bi- to 3-cusped apical setal spines and a single more slender serrate one in lateral corner; outer plate with row of 9 denticulate setal spines. Mouthparts otherwise normal. Antennae 1 as long as pereonite 1 to half of 5 combined along dorsum, peduncle article 2 about half as long as 1, article 3 2/3 length of 2, article 1 with single penicillate seta dorsodistally and 2 medioventrally; flagellum as long as peduncle, of 8 articles, assessory flagellum of 4 articles, both sparsely setulose. Antenna 2 as long as pereonites 1–6 combined along dorsum, peduncular article 4 the longest, flagellum of 6+ articles, articles 1–6 with single slender robust seta distally, antenna otherwise sparsely setulose. Coxal plates 1–3 distally fringed with setae of varying length, without brim of fine setules, plate 4 without setae. Gnathopods 1 and 2 propodus slightly less than half as long as carpus; carpus with scattered setae on anterior margin, 10–12 groups of unequally long setae along posterior margin; dactylus with unguis 0.4 length of propodus, nearly straight. Gnathopod 1 basis with long and short anterior and posterior setae; propodus with row of 4–5, pectinate setae on posterior margin. Gnathopod 2 basis less setose, with row of 12 robust setae on anterodistal margin. FIGURE 21. Glandulotiron spinipes gen. et sp. nov. Pereopods 5–7 basis with posterodistal rounded projection, pereopod 5 broadest distally, pereopod 6 broadest in middle, pereopod 7 broadest proximally with large rounded posterior projection; posterior margin crenulate in 7; propodus of pereopod 5 as long as carpus, of pereopod 6 3/4 length of carpus, of pereopod 7 half-length of carpus. Pereopod 6 with single and pereopod 7 with row of long setae submarginally on medial surface of basis. Uropod 1 peduncle reaching about 2/3 along peduncle of uropod 2 peduncle, rami of equal length, about 2/3 length of peduncle, reaching to end of rami of uropod 2; both uropods reaching barely halfway along outer ramus of uropod 3. Uropod 2 rami of equal length. Uropod 3 peduncle about 3/4 length of outer ramus, outer ramus basal article with row of 7 robust setae dorsolaterally, and 6 very small robust setae ventrolaterally, small second article with 3 dorsal robust setae; inner ramus reaching to 9/10 of basal article of outer ramus, dorsal margin with row of long setae and 2 robust setae, apex with 3 robust setae. Telson. Reaching 2/3 along outer ramus of uropod 3, length/width 2.0, with row of 4 robust setae, small simple setae and 1 plumose seta dorsally on each lobe, apices with 1 long and 1 short robust seta. Male. Similar to female but antenna 1 flagellum article 1 very long and slender, with medioventral single-field callynophore. Size . Largest , 9.0 mm. Largest , 8.5 mm . Distribution .
