Soc. 91: 441. 1985) noted that this is an illegitimate replacement name, published in September 1762, for Nardus incurva Gouan ( Hort. Reg. Monsp. : 33. Apr 1762). Linnaeus cited the latter as a synonym of N. aristata (Sep 1762) in the Appendix to Sp. Pl. , ed. 2, 2: 1676 (1763).
