Diagnosis.
Body shiny, dark brown or black, legs, labrum, palpi and antennae brown. Frontal grooves irregular and impunctate, labrum with six setigerous punctures, clypeus with two setigerous punctures. Pronotum globose, with a pair of setigerous punctures. Elytra with eight distinct striae, shoulders largely rounded, each elytron with two setigerous punctures at base, two setigerous punctures near apex.
Description.
Male. Body (
Fig. 1A
) dark brown or black, slender and obviously convex, dorsal surface very shiny.
Head (
Fig. 2A
) wider than long, convex, dorsal surface shiny, lacking punctures, frontal grooves irregular and impunctate. Labrum nearly rectangular, with six setigerous punctures and emarginate at apical margin. Apical margin of clypeus slightly emarginate with two setigerous punctures. Eyes large, supraorbital setae level with rear margin of eyes. Antenna longer than the combination of head and pronotum. Antennomeres I–IV glabrous, V–XI densely pubescent.
Pronotum (
Fig. 2A
), globose, distinctly convex, slightly longer than wide, widest slightly anterior of middle, equally constricted at anterior and basal margins, dorsal surface shiny without punctures. Median longitudinal impression and anterior impression shallow but distinct. One pair of setigerous punctures located at anterior middle of lateral margin of pronotum.
Elytra (
Fig. 2B
) longer than wide, strongly convex, dorsal surface shiny, each elytron with eight distinct striae. Scutellum nearly triangular, small. Shoulders largely rounded, narrow. Each elytron with four setigerous punctures, two pairs located at base and two pairs located near apex. The inner setigerous punctures of basal elytra located near base of stria II, outer punctures located at shoulders; the inner apical setigerous punctures located near apex of stria II, and the outer puncture located at apex of stria VII.
Legs simple, glabrous, only tibial apex with few thin setae, protarsomeres slightly dilated.
Median lobe of aedeagus (
Fig. 2C
) simple, ending in a rounded tip; right paramere (
Fig. 2D
) arcuate, acutely angular at apex, with dense long setae along apical margin; left paramere (
Fig. 2E
) expanded at middle and tapered to narrow at apex, apical rounded and without setae.
Measurements (mm).
BL 7.21–7.25; HL 1.13–1.20, HW 1.45–1.50; PL 2.13–2.25, PW 1.88–2.00; EL 3.80– 3.95, EW 2.70–2.80.
Female (
Fig. 1B
) similar to male, usually larger, with ovipositor smooth and arched, protarsomeres not dilated basally, basal segment of ovipositor (
Fig. 2F
) with nine short setae and apical segment with two thinner and longer setae.
Measurements (mm).
BL 7.48–8.03; HL 1.10–1.33, HW 1.48–1.53; PL 2.38–2.45, PW 2.00–2.23; EL 4.00– 4.25, EW 2.95–3.10.
Distribution.
China
:
Fujian Province
.
Biological notes.
Both females andmales were collected on the lower surface of a damp cliff at night (

Female.
Etymology.
This species is named in honor of Mr. Liang Guo (
Fujian
,
China
), who collected the new species and donated it to us for study.
Remarks.
The new species resembles
Broscosoma zhengyuandongi
Jiang, Feng & Wang, 2020
, and
Broscosoma xuhaoi
Jiang, Feng & Wang,
2020
in their habitus. However, it can be readily distinguished from
B. zhengyuandongi
by the following characters: 1) striae on the elytra shallow (cf. deeper); 2) apical part of the left male paramere wide (cf. narrow); 3) the right male paramere covered with setae from middle to apex (cf. apical third); 4) basal segment of the female ovipositor with nine short setae (cf. seven). It can be easily distinguished from
B. xuhaoi
by the apical margin of clypeus with two setigerous punctures (cf. four), and the left male paramere lacking setae (cf. with setae).
