SYNONYMS: None. DISTRIBUTION: Thylamys karimii is known from the Cerrado and Caatinga biomes of central and northeastern Brazil (Carmignotto and Monfort, 2006: fig. 7). REMARKS: An emended description of Thylamys karimii accompanied by illustrations, morphometric data, and taxonomic comparisons were provided by Carmignotto and Monfort (2006). Giarla et al. (2010) also described this species, analyzed its phylogenetic relationships, and commented on misidentifications in the ecological literature.
