Diagnostic characters.
Labrundinia fosteri

Adult female, pupa and larva
. Unknown.
Remarks.
The divided or faint transverse band of abdominal tergite II and the two bands of macrotrichia on the wing distinguish the adult males of
Labrundinia fosteri
from any known
Labrundinia
species.
Labrundinia fosteri
has been recorded only from its
type
locality in
Colombia
. The adults were collected in the area of Laguna
Mozambique
, which is characterized by the presence of
Scirpus cubensis
and
Pastalum repens
along the shore and pH around 4.5. The larvae from this area described by
Roback (1987a)
could not with certainty be associated with the adults. Thus, the immatures of
L. fosteri
remain unknown.
