The species name comes from Latin “auriculatus”, referring to the shape of spermatheca including prolateral bursa, retrolateral bursa and connecting tube, and meaning “ear-shaped”, and is an adjective. Diagnosis. The female of the new species resembles that of M. bifurcatus Dong, Yan, Zhu & Song, 2004 in having similar spermathecae including prolateral bursae, retrolateral bursae and connecting tubes between them both, but can be distinguished by copulatory openings inconspicuous and copulatory ducts strongly curved to form a half loop in this species ( Figs 5 , 6 ), while the presence of conspicuous copulatory openings, and longitudinal and almost straight copulatory ducts in M. bifurcatus ( Figs 11 , 12 ). AME strongly reduced in size, only two black eyespots present; ALE completely absent. Eye diameters: PME 0.12; PLE 0.13; PME-PME 0.51; PME- PLE 0.27. Chelicerae ( Fig. 1D ) yellowish, without tooth, and with cusps and bristles along margins of fang groove. Endite ( Fig. 1E ) pale yellowish, longer than wide.
