Diagnosis.
Male eyes contiguous medially; scape and pedicel wider than long, first flagellomere longer than wide, arista slender and long; one-segmented maxillary palpus; clypeus bulbous protruded, with setae in some species; scutellum rounded apically, postscutellum not curved; sc ending in C beyond fork of Cu and r-m, R1 and R2+3 ending separately in C, R4+5 fork almost in a right angle, discal cell between the origin of R4+5 and fork of R4+5, posterior cubital cell closed; tibial spur 0:2:1; female abdomen tapered posteriorly, male abdomen thinner than female; gonocoxite fused to the hypandrium, tergite IX undivided, concave basally; female tergites IX and X divided, cercus two-segmented, posteroventral cercal lobes in proximal segment, genital fork acuminate anteriorly, sternite VIII elongated, with a deep mesal cleft distally.
