Comments:
In the original description the species names appears both as
Platyrrhacus calius
(P. 579) and
Platyrhacus callius
(p. 581). The second combination seems, as indicated by
Jeekel (1963)
, an obvious misprint, as could be the different spellings of the genus. Curiously, Chamberlin's handmade label for the
holotype
uses a different specific name, "
orthogon
".
