Diagnosis: Small- to medium-sized haustoriids ( 2–7 mm ). Maxilla 2 outer lobe narrow, lanceolate (except in L. allardi ), roughly twice size of inner lobe. Maxilliped baler lobe weakly developed. Pleon slightly overhanging urosome; epimeron 3 smooth, ventrally curved (without hook). Telson cleft emarginate or to base. Known species: Lepidactylus allardi Hancock & Wicksten, 2018 ; L. dysticus Say 1818 ; L. galvezi Hancock & Wicksten, 2018 ; L. jayneae Foster & LeCroy, 1991 . Range: Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic coastlines. Open coasts, brackish bays.
