DISTRIBUTION. — Widespread throughout the Indo-West Pacific and both sides of the Atlantic, known from the Solomon Islands and Fiji ; 77-2055 m ( Galil 2000 ; Ahyong & Galil 2006 ); new record for PNG . REMARKS As in specimens from Solomon Islands and Fiji ( Ahyong & Galil 2006 ), the present specimens of P. typhlops possess heavily granulated abdominal tergites.
